Getting Prepared: 100 Days to Graduation

It may feel like graduation is far away, but it's really just 100 days from now! But don't worry! This semester, the College of Arts & Letters and Career Development Services have teamed up to help our students navigate the process of graduation with tips, events and invitations to related workshops, starting Jan. 22.

Upcoming events include:

Feb. 20: "Positivity and Authenticity in the Workplace" with Daniel J. Pennant, 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. in the Barry M. Kornblau Alumni Center

What do you bring to the workplace? How can you bring your authentic and positive self to work, while keeping it professional? Join Daniel Pennant, assistant vice president at Bank of America and College of Arts & Letters Community Advisory Board member, to talk about finding your place in the workforce. He'll share his experiences and tips for starting your career off right.

March 17: "Put Your Fears in a Hat" with a guest panel of ODU alumni. 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. in the Barry M. Kornblau Alumni Center

What scares you about life post-graduation? Join a panel of ODU alumni for an honest discussion of your post-graduation fears. Questions can be anonymous; we'll pass around a hat for everyone to drop their fears in, and the alumni will use their experiences to address the fears. You might find that you're not alone in your fears!

...and much more! Follow the College of Arts & Letters on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram @ODUArtsLetters, check MonarchLink for regular updates, and use the hashtag #100toGraduate to post your own updates and photos.
