Dr. Hector Amaya (University of Virginia) gave a talk focusing on Spanish-language radio in the US followed by his participation in a public forum discussion on the unique opportunities and challenges faced by Hispanics in Hampton Roads. Other participants included: Olga Torres (President, Hampton Roads Hispanic Chamber of Commerce), Radlyn Mendoza (Immigration Attorney), Carlos Campo (former President, Regent University) NOTABLES: 122 attendees for the keynote; 47 attendees for the public forum. This event was organized as part of Hispanic Heritage Month. It was co-sponsored with the Office of Intercultural Relations and the PAW program.
