Divergent views on how to rid the world of nuclear weapons dominated discussions in the First Committee (Disarmament and International Security) today, as it reflected on action taken on several draft resolutions and decisions. Highlighting a broad range of views on disarmament, delegates explained their delegations' positions and what made them decide to support, vote against or cast an abstention in recorded votes on most of the 24 nuclear-weapon-related draft resolutions and decisions the Committee approved on 1 November.
