To many, the UN's Human Rights Council is a den of hypocrites, where brutal regimes wax self-righteous about Israel in particular and the West in general. And indeed, it has wasted a vast share of its time castigating Israel while failing to bring vile malefactors elsewhere to book. At its next session, starting this month, Donald Trump's ambassador to the UN, Nikki Haley, is expected to say whether America will stay or, as it did under George W. Bush in 2006, leave in a huff.
