MYANMAR: ‘Rohingya refugee children perish as boat capsizes – UN migration agency’, UN News Centre, 9 October 2017
At least 13 Rohingya refugees, 11 of them young children, fleeing violence in Myanmar drowned when their boat capsized, the UN migration agency said. The refugees caught up in last night's tragedy came from villages well inside Myanmar. They told IOM staff that they walked for eleven days to reach the coast.
