Join ODU's College of Arts & Letters for an event to raise awareness of the realities of human trafficking in Hampton Roads. The event will include an artist's talk with Kim McCoy, artist and ODU student, who is the creator of "Hear Their Voices", a piece on exhibition in January in the Barry Art Building Rotunda as part of Human Trafficking Awareness Month. The

The event will include an artist's talk by Kim McCoy, a spoken word performance by Poetikk Justice, and discussion with ODU faculty Dr. Amanda Petersen, assistant professor in the Department of Sociology and Criminal Justice, Dr. Tonya Shell, ODU adjunct faculty in the Department of Sociology and Criminal Justice and Women's Studies, Courtney Pierce, anti-trafficking outreach and direct service coordinator for Samaritan House, and Kim McCoy.

The event is free and open to the public. Register by January 24 at odu.imodules.com/hte22

In accordance with ODU policy, all attendees are required to wear a face covering indoors regardless of vaccination status.
