- How do we maintain connection and support under social distancing? Three ODU experts address how interpersonal connections and relationships of psychosocial support change, and how they stay the same when shifted online. Each panelist will provide brief opening comments, but most of the sessions will be devoted to the discussion and expert insights on attendees' questions and experiences.
Dr. Tammi Dice
Dr. Tammi Dice serves as Associate Dean and Associate Professor in the Darden College of Education and Professional Studies at ODU. She is a counselor and educator passionate about promoting mental health and wellness among children and adults.
Dr. Brendan O'Hallarn
Dr. Brendan O'Hallarn is a Lecturer in the Department of Communication & Theatre Arts and a former public relations officer for Old Dominion University. He studies the sociology of social media interactions between users, particularly connected to sports.
Dr. D.E. Wittkower
Dr. D.E. Wittkower, Associate Professor and Chair of the Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies, is an expert in the philosophy of technology and writes and teaches on interpersonal relationships in digital environments.
