- Coinciding with the Glass Art Society (GAS) annual conference, hosted by the Chrysler Museum of Art June 1 – 3, this exhibition features artists who are from or work in Virginia and are award winners for their work in glass and other media, including multiple best-in-show winners from the annual Virginia Glass Guild Juried Exhibition held at the Charles H. Taylor Arts Center in Hampton. The artists approach the medium of glass in diverse ways, from using it in its pure form to combining it with other media to produce hybrid structures and enhanced content. The individual works and installations will represent a wide variety of technical approaches to glass including blowing, casting, vitreous painting and printing, luminous tubing installation, flame working and performance.
