- Invencia Piano Duo, Andrey Kasparov and Oksana Lutsyshyn, present a lecture-recital on the two major works by the two most famous Soviet composers—Sergey Prokofiev and Dmitri Shostakovich—inspired by Shakespeare. The program includes Andrey Kasparov’s concert paraphrase of Shostakovich’s opera “Lady Macbeth of the Mtsensk District,” realized for piano duo by Andrey Kasparov, and Sergei Prokofiev’s piano solo arrangements of various episodes from his classic ballet “Romeo and Juliet.” Chandler Recital Hall, Diehn Center for the Performing Arts.
