The colloquium is focused on addressing what constitutes public art in Hampton Roads and who gets to make such decisions. It will explore the cultural, economic, legal, social and spatial dimensions of public art. The colloquium features the perspectives of both scholars and practitioners. Presenters are: Tim Bearse, Art Department, ODU; Tom Chapman, Political Science & Geography Department, ODU; Elizabeth Cooke, Public Artist and ODU Alumni; Robert Wojtowicz, Associate Dean of College of Arts & Letters, Art Department, ODU.
