Across Campus - A Photo Essay
Old Dominion University recognized 2020 and 2021 graduates with a four-day celebration that featured virtual and in-person ceremonies. A virtual commencement, with U.S. Sen. Mark Warner as the featured speaker, was held May 5. A total of 1,274 graduates of 2020 attended two in-person ceremonies at Kornblau Field at S.B Ballard Stadium on May 6, and 2,661 graduates of 2021 received degrees in five ceremonies May 7 and 8. A Picture is Worth...
During this semester's final graduation on May 8, President John R. Broderick and First Lady Kate Broderick were presented with a special recognition and plaque. The First Lady was honored for her "unparalleled love and advocacy for education and student accessibility," and President Broderick was lauded for his "commitment to diversity, inclusion and equity." President Broderick will transition to a lectureship this summer after leading the University for 13 years.
