Old Dominion University played its last football game over a year ago before canceling the 2020 season due to COVID-19. The Monarchs are back on the practice field and played a spring scrimmage on April 3. Coach Ricky Rahne's players performed 7-on-7 drills for about an hour in front of 1,000 fans.
A Picture is Worth...
Old Dominion University President John R. Broderick promised last year that fall and spring 2020 graduates would eventually have their commencement ceremonies. That vow will become a reality next month, when ODU will host a record number of commencement ceremonies from May 5 to 8. A University-wide virtual ceremony for both 2020 and spring and summer 2021 graduates will be held May 5. Additionally, in-person ceremonies will be held - rain or shine - in S.B. Ballard Stadium through May 8.
