University to Commemorate One-Year Anniversary of Hurricane Maria’s Impact on Puerto Rico
The Office of Intercultural Relations will host Global Café Puerto Rico at 12:30 p.m. Sept. 27 to remember the one-year anniversary of Hurricane Maria's devastating effect on the island.
The event will be held in the Hampton Newport News Room. It will feature ODU students and administrators whose lives were directly impacted sharing their experiences.
"Although there will be a time of deep reflection, we will also celebrate the resiliency of our Puerto Rican citizens," said Lesa C. Clark, executive director of the Office of Intercultural Relations.
