Old Dominion University’s 2017 Spring Senior Exhibition: 'Eclectic'
Old Dominion's Baron and Ellin Gordon Art Galleries will feature "Eclectic," an exhibition of work by the University's 2017 fine arts graduating class, through May 21.
"Eclectic" features a variety of work by students covering a range of mixed media including painting, drawing, sculpture and metal work.
An opening reception will be held May 4, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. The event is free and open to the public, with hors d'oeuvres provided and a cash bar available.
"We have all worked super hard at completing pieces for the show that not only show our skill and craft, but can move and demand the public's attention," said senior Katelyn Curtis. "All 19 of us have worked together this final semester to showcase our best work and, more importantly, invite the community to witness creations firsthand."
The Baron and Ellin Gordon Art Galleries exhibit works by nationally and internationally recognized self-taught artists, contemporary artists working in all media and local and regional artists connected with Old Dominion University.
The galleries are free and open to the public, with parking in the 45th Street Garage. Its hours are Tuesday to Saturday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday, from 1 to 5 p.m.
