The trip took on special meaning for Wendy Porter, adjunct faculty member of women's studies, because her family donated a Bible, for display at the museum, which once belonged to slave rebellion leader Nat Turner.

More than 70 high schools from across the East Coast converged at Norfolk's Sheraton Waterside for the four-day event.
