Across Campus - A Photo Essay

A group of 55 ODU students recently visited the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture. The trip took on special meaning for Wendy Porter, adjunct faculty member of women's studies, because her family donated a Bible, for display at the museum, which once belonged to slave rebellion leader Nat Turner.

The Old Dominion University Model United Nations Conference is a simulation for high school students, emphasizing education in international affairs, role-playing, public speaking and policy management. More than 70 high schools from across the East Coast converged at Norfolk's Sheraton Waterside for the four-day event. Here, Chile was represented by students from Leonardtown High School from Leonardtown, Maryland.
