Across Campus - A Photo Essay

Clay Ransone missed his first Old Dominion University basketball conference tournament in almost two decades last year, when the Monarchs played in its first Conference USA tournament in El Paso. "It got ingrained in me when I was a student. It was very weird to miss last year," said Ransone, a sport management graduate ('01) who works for the New York Times, in Norfolk. So Ransone and two Monarch fan friends, Walter Boatright and Dan Icayan, flew to Birmingham, Ala., for this week's men's and women's C-USA championships. They've already seen the Lady Monarchs defeat Rice 62-57, and are heading to Bartow Arena with more than 100 other Monarch fans today. Photos by Ransone and friends.
