Faculty Invited to Submit Questions for Annual Life in Hampton Roads Survey
The Social Science Research Center (SSRC) in the College of Arts and Letters announces the fifth annual Life in Hampton Roads telephone survey. The survey will be conducted this summer and will consist of a random sample of about 800 Hampton Roads residents.
The SSRC encourages submission of potential survey questions from interested faculty to cover areas that are directly related to the quality of life in the region. Below are some general topic areas:
- Arts and culture
- Crime
- Economy
- Education
- Environment
- Health care
- Housing
- Local/state government
- Media/communications
- Military
- Transportation
A committee will review the questions submitted and select questions to be included in the final survey protocol. The final survey data will be made available to the university community for use in scholarly publication and research. Faculty members may submit up to five questions for consideration to be included in the survey. Questions should be submitted via email to ssrc@odu.edu by April 11.
