The Office of Intercultural Relations will host a conversation with "Habibi" filmmaker Susan Youssef from noon to 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 22, in the Intercultural Center (2114 Webb Center).
Members of the campus community are invited to bring their lunch to this "brown bag" event and chat with Youssef about what it was like filming in Gaza, the challenges faced by Arab Americans and women in the film industry, her next film project and the reception of her movie worldwide.
Co-sponsors of the event are the College of Arts and Letters, Institute for the Humanities and the Office of Intercultural Relations.
"Habibi" (http://www.habibithefilm.com/) screens from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 21, in the Mills Godwin Jr. Building auditorium. Youssef will take part in a Q&A with the audience following the screening.
