Emergency Planning Exercise Slated for Nov. 1 at VBHEC

Old Dominion will participate in an emergency planning exercise with Tidewater Community College and the Virginia Beach Police Department on Friday, Nov. 1, at the university's Virginia Beach Higher Education Center (VBHEC).

The exercise, slated to take place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., should have minimal impact on VBHEC operations. However, doors will be temporarily blocked for a lock-down simulation from approximately 7:15-7:30 a.m. Additionally, there will be a number of police and other emergency vehicles in the parking areas as part of the exercise.
