E. G. (Rudy) Middleton, III '81

E.G. "Rudy" Middleton III was appointed to the Board of Visitors on July 1, 2022 by Governor Glenn Youngkin. He currently serves on the Board's Academic & Research Advancement, Administration & Finance, and Governance Committees.

Middleton is president and owner of E.G. Middleton, Inc., Electrical Contractors in Norfolk, Virginia. He is a 1981 graduate from Old Dominion University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. He is a past chairman and board member of the State Board of Contractors, past member of the State Technical Code Review Board, past present and director of the Builders and Contractors Exchange, past president and treasurer and current director of the National Electrical Contractors Association ACC Chapter, chairman of the Tidewater Division National Electrical Contractors Association, current committee member of the City of Norfolk's Code Review Board, current chairman of the Tidewater Electrical Industry Health Fund, current chairman of the Tidewater Electrical Industry Pension Fund, past chairman and current member of the board of directors of Festevents, current member of the board of directors of Truist Tidewater Advisory Board, and board member of the Old Dominion Athletic Foundation.

Middleton resides in Virginia Beach and has two sons who are both graduates of ODU.
