ODU's Music Department students will perform works by the Richmond composer, Allan Blank for the 11th Annual Student Concert, "Fill in the Blank: Works Selected from the Allan Blank Papers Collection," to be held from 12:30 to 1:15 pm on Tuesday, November 24th at the F. Ludwig Diehn Composers Room of the Old Dominion University Libraries.
The concert, organized by Mike Hall, features contemporary works from the Allan Blank Papers Collection in memory and tribute to the composer who died in November 2013. An exhibit of the works played at the concert will be open to public viewing following the event.
The F. Ludwig Diehn Composers Room is located in the F. Ludwig Diehn Fine & Performing Arts Building at 49th & Elkhorn Avenue in Norfolk -on Old Dominion University's main Campus. The event is free and open to the public. Seating is limited. Light refreshments will be offered after the concert.
