Dear Colleague:

As the fall semester starts to wind down, I want to take a moment to thank you for moving Old Dominion University forward. It is because of your outstanding work that we've been able to accomplish what we do. No matter what challenge or budget deficit the University has faced, your steadfast commitment has pulled us through and I am honored to have you as colleagues.

In recognition of your efforts, I am pleased to announce a 1% bonus that will appear in the December 16 pay.

At Old Dominion, we remain committed to enriching the quality of university life and being one of the top universities where faculty and staff work. Although this is a challenging budget year, I was determined to protect the funding needed to provide this bonus.

On the surface, 1% may not seem like a lot; however, it represents $2.2 million dollars of an already stretched budget. I especially want to thank the staff and faculty who helped grow our summer enrollment revenue, which made this bonus possible.

Most full-time teaching faculty, administrative faculty and classified staff will be eligible to receive a 1% bonus. Most wage/hourly employees and adjunct faculty will receive a bonus amount based on their work history. For more information, please read the 2014 Bonus Administration Details.
