In Support of Children 20th Anniversary

On April 5, 2012 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM our Old Dominion University student group IN SUPPORT OF CHILDREN will be celebrating its 20th anniversary in the North Cafeteria of Webb Center.

For 20 years the group has worked tirelessly to educate the ODU and Hampton Roads communities and people around the world about the considerable negative impacts of child maltreatment in general and corporal punishment most specifically.

Anchored in a human rights framework and compelling research, it is clear that the only way to end all forms of child abuse is to end corporal punishment against children. Through our lecture series, pamphlets, child abuse prevention fairs, bumper stickers, Spank-Outday celebrations and websites, we have tried to spread the message that "It's NEVER ok to HIT A CHILD."
