LITERATURE LECTURE FRIDAY AT V.B. CENTER

Lilia Quindoza-Santiago, a Fulbright Scholar from the University of the Philippines, will present "Aspects of Contemporary Creative Writing and Translation in Filipino" from 7-9 p.m. Friday, May 20, at the Virginia Beach Higher Education Center, 1881 University Drive.

Quindoza-Santiago is a full professor in the Department of Filipino and Philippine Literature at the University of the Philippines. An award-winning writer, she is known in her homeland for various works in fiction, poetry and biography.

Admission is free. Old Dominion University offers Continuing Education Units from the Darden College of Education for a one-time fee of $15. Call 683-5099 or e-mail
