Dayalbagh Educational Institute Hosts ICAM 2011

The International Conference on Agile Manufacturing Systems (ICAM) 2011 was held at the Dayalbagh Educational Institute, Agra, India. ICAM is sponsored by the International Society of Agile Manufacturing (ISAM) and the International Society for Productivity Enhancement. The conference hosted Dr. Alok Verma, the Ray Ferrari Professor of engineering technology and Director of the Lean Institute, as the Conference Honorary Chairman. Verma also serves as the current president of the ISAM, the organizer of this conference.
The conference, whose theme was "Systems Approach to Enhancing Agility of Organizations and Processes," was successful in bringing together academia, industry and government representatives to exchange ideas and discuss the cutting edge research being carried out in Agile Methodology.
The goal of the conference was to focus on the systems approach to agile transformations and to bring out cutting edge research being carried out in this field. More than 130 scholarly papers on a broad spectrum of topics were presented at the conference and more than 200 participants attended the event.
ICAM is renowned among the professional circles for presentation and discussion of the research and development activities carried out in the broad areas of manufacturing.
