Across Campus - A Photo Essay

The Old Dominion University Opera and Symphony Orchestra recently held a dress rehearsal for its upcoming presentation of "Cosi Fan Tutte" - Mozart's timeless comedy about love and fidelity. The opera, which is set in 18th century Naples, involves a wager between two young military officers about whether their fiancées will resist temptation and be faithful. The opera will be sung in Italian with English supertitles, and will be fully staged with set, costumes and props. An initial performance will be held Friday, Oct. 24, at 8 p.m. in the University Theatre and three additional shows will follow on Oct. 26, at 2 pm.; Thursday, Oct. 30 at 8 p.m.; and Saturday, Nov. 1 at 8 p.m. All performances are free and open to the public.
