You are invited to take part.<br /> <br /> Bauman, a passionate ODU alumna (’80 and ’82), has been teaching dental hygienists for 31 years. Her research interests include instructional methodology and diabetes and its relationship to oral health. In addition to teaching undergraduates, she also teaches graduate students how to teach. </p> <p> She has taken her passion for good oral health on two dental mission trips to Leon, Nicaragua with the Norfolk-based organization Physicians for Peace, where she worked to start a dental assistant education program in Leon.</p> <p> At present, she is working on her PhD, teaching graduate and undergraduate students, and serving on the Board of Commissioners at Lake Taylor Transitional Care Hospital.</p> <p> In her Conversation, Debbie will lead us in a discussion of successful interactions with ODU’s diverse group of learners, both in and outside of class, synchronously and asynchronously, and via web conferencing and video chat.
