Old Dominion University is participating in the Hampton Roads Hazard Mitigation Plan 2027 update as a special district. This plan is a federal document that identifies threats and hazards pertaining to Hampton Roads (and ODU) in an effort to reduce risk and serves as the foundation from which ODU's Crisis and Emergency Management Plan and other emergency and continuity plans are based.
Public Meeting #1 will take place tonight (Wednesday, June 24, 2026) from 6-8pm at the Norfolk Police Community Room - Second Precinct at 901 Asbury Avenue. At the meeting, expect to learn more about community education, public feedback and input, your role in the overall process, and participate in an open Q&A forum.
