Supporters of Old Dominion University's Day of Giving, in which students, alumni and friends of the University and others are asked to give generously over a 24-hour period to help support ODU, is scheduled for March 15.

You can make donations at And you don't have to wait until March 15; early donations are welcome.

A record 1,183 donors contributed $116,371 in 2021. The previous record for donors was 738 in 2019. Donations came from as far away as the state of Washington, California, Colorado, Texas, Oklahoma, Iowa and Florida.

This year, you can also buy exclusive apparel featuring new designs from The Monarch Shop. Each purchase will directly support ODU Scholarships.

For many students, as little as $1,000 can close the gap between resources they have and the cost of going to school.

The funds also help purchase needed equipment and the creation of endowments to help top students attend ODU and help retain and hire high-quality faculty.
