The main goal of the Insurance Center is to promote student interest in risk management and insurance (RMI) and personal financial planning (PFP) careers by providing funding for the following:
- Gamma Iota Sigma (GIS), which is a student club that promotes interest in risk management, insurance, and actuarial science careers.
- Insurance Center events, such as the annual RMI Career Fair and the Insurance Center Founders’ Day Luncheon.
- Scholarships for students majoring or minoring in RMI who are active GIS members.
- Data and travel for professors related to RMI research, which is used to update and keep current the material used in RMI classes.
