S.A.M - Students Affiliated with the Military Mentoring Program
The Peer Educator Program for Veterans and Students Affiliated with the Military Program (S.A.M.) is designed to provide academic, professional, and transitional support to active-duty personnel, veterans, reservist, spouses, and dependents. The program provides students with three different types of assistance:
- Peer Mentorship
- Peer Tutoring
- Academic Coaching
Each of our Mentors, Tutors, and Coaches are trained and internationally certified through the College Reading and Learning Association (C.R.L.A.)
It is our desire to create a comfortable and assuring atmosphere for our military affiliated students as they matriculate through Old Dominion University. The Peer Educator Program recognizes that beginning a college experience may be challenging to our students; our goal is to provide you with additional support and introduce our students to campus resources which may become another component of your success. We are so happy to have you here at Old Dominion University and remember WE ARE HERE TO SERVE YOU!
