Library instruction sessions

Faculty members should consider scheduling a session for their students if there is a research component to the class. Course-related library instruction is one of the most effective ways to teach students the art of research. Instructional sessions are even more effective if done in conjunction with a specific assignment so that students can practice the skills and strategies taught.

Ask a librarian

Our Clinical Medical Librarians (CML) can help you learn how to use the library and its resources, conduct subject research, compile bibliographies and find quick, factual information. CML Librarians can also do literature searches for community members, but there may be costs involved.

Full-text electronic resources

The Libraries QuickLinks page has links to the most popular e-resources.  Including PubMed Linkout, Web of Science, CINAHL Complete, Clinical Key, BMJ Best Practice, DynaMed, UpToDate, Exam Master and more than 140 databases.
