The ODU Model UN Society's premier on-campus activity, ODU United Nations Day, commemorates the creation of the United Nations in 1945. Co-sponsored by the ODU chapter of UNA-USA, UN Day is your opportunity to learn about simulations, conferences and how the United Nations really works.
ODU's UN Day 2026 was an extraordinary success. Students were registered for over 80 countries, representing Christopher Newport University, Hampton University, Norfolk State University, Old Dominion University and The College of William and Mary. It was intense and raucous, with weeks of UN debate compressed in a six-hour simulation. Awards went to seven participants—newcomers all.
