The Ask-A-Librarian service is designed primarily to answer short, fact-based reference questions for registered students, staff or faculty of Old Dominion University, or questions from the public pertaining to the ODU Libraries.

Research Appointment is an opportunity for ODU students, faculty, and staff to get in-depth assistance with library research. We can meet with you online or in-person at Perry Library to help with beginning your research or if you are having difficulty finding information on a topic.

The Electronic Resource Troubleshooting Request form is used to contact the Electronic Resources Team whenever you have an issue accessing an electronic resource provided by Old Dominion University. The form is monitored M-F 8:00am-5:00pm, excluding University closings.

Subject librarians support research and learning through education, collaboration, collection development, and engagement with users to achieve scholarly and academic success.

The ODU Libraries support student learning at all levels by partnering with faculty to provide assignment-centered library instruction and online learning support. Our librarians are also available to collaborate with faculty to design information literacy assignments and courses. In addition to course-specific support we offer workshops on building research skills, using library resources, and citation management.
