Special Events
Below are special events on-or-off-campus that will allow you to obtain extra credit for the class that will be applied to your final grade. The guidelines are as follows: a) attend the event, b) obtain a chit (ticket) that confirms that you attended the event, c) submit a typed, 2 page summary of the event (name of the event, names of participants in the event, description of the event, what you learned from the event and d) attach the chit to the paper. Each event that you attend is worth 5 points. You can attend up to three events during the semester. The paper must be submitted to the instructor no later than one week after the event or it will not be accepted. In other words, submit it to the instructor in class or submit it to the department secretary (BAL 7000) who will put the date on the paper and pass it on to the instructor. Events will be added by your instructor or you can suggest an event subject to your instructor's approval or rejection.
