Department of Psychololgy

Old Dominion University

Norfolk, VA 23529

Thank you for visiting my webpage. I am Professor of Psychology in the I/O Program at Old Dominion University.  My research and consulting areas of interest include career development issues, especially barriers faced by women and minorities, developmental relationships at work, and the work-family interface.

I received my doctorate in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Michigan State University. My research has been supported by the Health Resources and Services Administration, NASA, and the National Science Foundation. I presently serve on the editorial board of Journal of Organizational Behavior and Journal of Management and am the former editor of The Industrial-Organizational Psychologist. Photography is a favorite hobby, and I'm delighted to have had one of my photographs appear as a TIP cover in 2007.

My work reflects a commitment to collaboration, boundary spanning, and multi-disciplinary research, particularly the application of I/O psychology to research topics in health, well-being, and medicine. Since 2000, I have been an adjunct faculty member at Eastern Virginia Medical School.

If you have any questions about my research or ODU's I/O program, I hope you will send me an email.
