Thank you for visiting my webpage. I am Professor of Psychology in the I/O Program at Old Dominion University. My research and consulting areas of interest include career development issues, especially barriers faced by women and minorities, developmental relationships at work, and the work-family interface.
I received my doctorate in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Michigan State University. My research has been supported by the Health Resources and Services Administration, NASA, and the National Science Foundation. You can read about my most recent grant by clicking here. I presently serve on the editorial boards of Journal of Organizational Behavior, Journal of Management and Journal of Business and Psychology. I am the former editor of The Industrial-Organizational Psychologist (TIP). Photography is a favorite hobby, and I'm delighted to have had one of my photographs appear as a TIP cover in 2007.
My work reflects a commitment to collaboration, boundary spanning, and multi-disciplinary research, particularly the application of I/O psychology to research topics in health, well-being, and medicine. Since 2000, I have been an adjunct faculty member at Eastern Virginia Medical School.
If you have any questions about my research or ODU's I/O program, I hope you will send me an email.
