Visitors Parking

Visitors must obtain a pass to park at the University. The visitor or host may obtain a pass from the parking office during regular business hours or at the Connie and Marc Jacobson Welcome Center (located inside the Ted Constant Convocation Center, 4320 Hampton Blvd., Norfolk, VA 23529) from 8 a.m.- 5 p.m. Vehicles registered to immediate family members of students may never be considered as visitors unless the visitor first obtains an appropriate visitor's pass prior to parking the vehicle.

Guests of the University will be accorded complimentary parking during the period of their visit. The host organization is responsible for arranging receipt of passes.

Requests for guest passes must be submitted in writing to Parking and Transportation Services in sufficient time to prepare the passes.

Requests to reserve specific parking for guests will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Written requests must be submitted to Parking and Transportation Services. Charges may be levied for services.

Child Study Center clients may obtain a visitors' pass at the center.

Visitor Parking Lots

  • Visitors may park in either faculty/staff, commuter or overflow lots.
  • Visitors may not park at meters or meter controlled areas without paying the meter fee.
  • Child Study Center clients may only park in designated areas as indicated on the pass.

Visitor Citations

  • The Director of Parking and Transportation Services may upon certification of visitor status, rescind citations issued to visitors for not displaying a decal.
  • Only one such claim per license plate will be honored for authorized visitors
