- Online Application
- $50 fee (non-refundable)
- Official College Transcript(s) (from ALL previously attended institutions)*
- Official High School Transcript (if earning and transferring less than 24 college credits)
- Official SAT or ACT (if less than two years since high school graduation)
*Official transcripts are defined as those sent directly from the institution or selected electronic service (i.e. Parchment) to Old Dominion University. Transcripts emailed from the student to ODU are not acceptable.

- Essay - 400 word maximum, topic of your choice

After Applying
Monitor Your Application Status
Students can check the status of their application through our online status check. From the admissions menu, students can view their status/application decision and check the dates that the office received their credentials. Note: Students who did not submit their social security number with their application, will need to contact the Office of Admissions at 757-683-3685 to log-in to the online status check.
Decision Notification
Students will receive notification of their admissions decision via the mail or can find out by using the online status check. Decisions will be mailed to the address submitted on the application. If a student is accepted to Old Dominion University, the acceptance packet will include information regarding the enrollment steps. If a student elects to use the online status check, the decision will be posted in the "Application Status" section as soon as it is made.
