We welcome student involvement at the KOC!

  Volunteer Positions

Help care for the plant collections. Volunteer positions are arranged through the Director Dr. Lisa Wallace and Associate Director Darrin Duling.

  Paid Summer Internships

Students will receive experience in horticultural management or research. Summer internships provide a stipend of $2000, with the expectation that a student will work 20 hours per week for 10 weeks during the summer. You must be a student of ODU to be eligible.

The application for summer internships in 2019 is available here. Research positions must be arranged with the professor leading the project. Summer internships are also arranged through the Director, Dr. Lisa Wallace and Associate Director, Darrin Duling.

  Research Assistants

Working with faculty at ODU on a project that is housed at the KOC.

  Botanical Society of America Student Chapter

The Botanical Society of America Student Chapter is based at the KOC and also has opportunities to be involved with plants. Visit the Facebook group or website to find out more.
