- The Virginia’s Outstanding Scientist of the Year Award for 2016 is sponsored by the Science Museum of Virginia. A panel of internationally renowned Virginia scientists selects the award recipient(s). Please consider nominating yourself or a colleague for consideration in this year’s competition. Since 1985 this program has recognized and honored Virginia scientists for their advancements in scientific knowledge and technological advancement. A few ODU faculty have received the award over the years including, Anatoly Radyushkin (2004), Cynthia Jones (2003), and Daniel Sonsenshine (1994).
