International Education Week (IEW)

The Office of Intercultural Relations (OIR) supports the internationalization and intercultural engagement efforts on Old Dominion University's campus. OIR's International Initiatives invites you to participate in the International Education Week (IEW) in a variety of activities, from simply adding international topics to your class to the creation of a presentation or a program designed to celebrate, engage, and prepare students and communities for a global society.

Event Overview/Description:  As ODU's campus diversifies with an increasingly international student population, campus services such as the ODU Writing Center are adapting to meet students' needs. This presentation highlights key services and support that the writing center can offer to international students. The presentation includes a brief workshop for students and faculty on citation practices and plagiarism in Western academic spaces.
