The Department of Sociology and Criminal Justice will host our annual Professional Development Series the month of October on Thursdays during activity hour. The series is opened to students, faculty, staff, as well as the wider community. 

The professional development series is designed to share reflective learning strategies that can enhance the overall career success and progression of attendees.  Specifically, suggest strategies to become and remain financially literate; hone existing professional skillsets as well how to as avoid self-sabotaging behavior; how to be a social justice ally for infinity groups with a specific focus on the LGBTQ+ population; and how to effectively minimize conflict by recognizing and managing microaggressions.
