Dear Colleagues,

We are asking for your assistance in identifying ODU students who have secured a Summer 2026 internship in Washington, D.C. with a member of the Virginia congressional delegation. List of offices is below.

ODU currently has support funding available for eligible students, including:
• Housing located close to Capitol Hill and congressional offices
• A generous stipend to assist with food and living expenses

Because summer housing in Washington, D.C. is in extremely short supply, we are hoping to identify students as soon as possible.

📅 Final Application Deadline: May 15, 2026

If you know of a student who has accepted an internship with a Virginia Senator or Congressional office, please encourage them to immediately contact:

Michael D. Thompson, PhD
Assistant Director
Monarch Humanities Internship Academy

Thank you for helping us spread the word and connect ODU students with this important opportunity. Your support helps expand access to meaningful public service experiences and reduces financial barriers for students pursuing internships in Washington, D.C.
