Casiello Talks Technology in the Classroom on 'HearSay'

Andrew Casiello, interim associate vice president for distance learning at Old Dominion University, was a guest Tuesday, May 5, on WHRV-FM's (89.5) midday talk show, "HearSay with Cathy Lewis," to discuss ways in which technology is being utilized in, and out of, the classroom.

The program's topic, "Techno-centric: E-Learning," will consider the evolution of online learning in general and also its use in higher education today. Other guests on the program include Ed Sykes, motivational speaker and success coach of The Sykes Group, and Peter Monahan, instructional designer with WHRO's e-learning program.

Casiello joined ODU in 2002 as associate vice provost for technology and served most recently as associate vice provost for Academic Technology Services. Prior to joining the university, he served as vice president of technology for National Technological University in Fort Collins, Colo., and chief engineer and acting director for the Video Instructional Program at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.
