Governor Orders Flags to Be Lowered to Mark Death of Colin Powell

Pursuant to President Biden's Presidential Proclamation to lower the United States flag, Governor Ralph Northam ordered that the flags of the United States and Virginia are to be flown at half-staff over the state Capitol and all local, state and federal buildings and grounds in the commonwealth in respect and memory of Gen. Colin Powell.

The flags shall be lowered until sunset on Oct. 22.
