Upcoming Women’s Retreat to Feature Television Personality/Best-Selling Author

A keynote speech by Robin L. Smith, a nationally televised personality and best-selling author, will headline the Women's Wellness Retreat to be held Saturday at Webb University Center.
The retreat and expo, sponsored in part by Old Dominion University, encourages women to understand and appreciate the importance of taking care of their mind, body and spirit. Workshops led by expert panelists will be held prior to Smith's luncheon address.
Registration with a continental breakfast begins at 7:30 a.m. The opening plenary at 8:30 a.m. will be led by WVEC news anchor Sandra Parker.
The scheduled 10 a.m. breakout sessions will be:
"The Pursuit of Happiness" - Facilitator: Cynthia Grossman
"Achieving Maximum Wellness" - Dr. Eric Siegal
"Financial Freedom Starts With a Plan"-Dan Neice
"Matters of the Heart"-Jessica Larche
At 11 a.m., breakout sessions are titled:
"Emotional Well-being Through Life Changes" - Dr. Sandra Swann
"Building Your Brand, Telling Your Story" - Benita Adams
Fire & Desire: Go Get Your Life - Jill Nardin
Smith, the keynote speaker, will discuss: "The Fearless Experience" of awakening, transformation and celebration. Smith is an ordained minister and licensed psychologist. She is the author of the New York Times best-seller "Lies at the Altar: The Truth about Great Marriages," and she contributed to "The Audacity of Faith."
The activities at Old Dominion complete a two-day conference organized by Still Hope Foundation, a non-profit that supports single mothers; and ARDX, a healthcare management consulting company. The retreat cost is $35 per person. Registration can be completed online at the Still Hope Foundation website.
