College of Arts and Letters Awards Announced

On April 29, Old Dominion University's College of Arts and Letters held their annual awards reception at the Goode Theatre on Monarch Way.
During the event, Dean Charles Wilson presented the following awards:
- The Robert L. Stern Excellence in Teaching Award to Michael Pearson, English;
- Charles O. & Elisabeth Burgess Faculty Research & Creativity Award to Luisa Igloria, English;
- Distinguished Adjunct Teaching Award to Ralph Irby, Art;
- The Joel S. Lewis Faculty Award for Excellence in Student Mentoring to Gary Beck, Communication and Theatre Arts;
- Staff Member of the Year Award to Stacey Parks, Women's Studies;
- Outstanding Service to the College Award to Avi Santo, Communication & Theatre Arts;
- Outstanding Contributions to Interdisciplinarity Award to Jenifer Alonzo, Communication & Theatre Arts;
- Arts & Letters Doctoral Mentoring Award to Dawn Rothe, Sociology & Criminal Justice.
