Acclaimed Pianist, Edmund Battersby Featured in Upcoming F. Ludwig Diehn Concert

Internationally celebrated pianist, orchestral soloist and chamber player, Edmund Battersby will perform works by Schubert and Beethoven at Old Dominion University on March 23.
The concert will be held at 8 p.m. in the Chandler Recital Hall of the F. Ludwig Diehn Center for the Performing Arts. Tickets may be purchased online or at the door.
Throughout his career, Battersby has earned the highest praise from audiences, critics and colleagues alike. His landmark recording of Beethoven's "Diabelli Veriations" on modern and period instruments earned him widespread acclaim. His recording of "Goyescas of Granados" was shortlisted for a 1992 Grammy nomination. He is a member of the artist faculty of Jacobs School of Music, at Indiana University.
Battersby's performance is being held in conjunction with the Harold Protsman Classical Period Piano Competition. The F. Ludwig Diehn Concert Series is supported by a grant from the Diehn Fund of the Hampton Roads Community Foundation.
