CREED Presents its 20th Annual Hampton Roads Real Estate Market Review and Forecast Thursday, March 12

It is a report on the real estate market. But for 20 years, the Hampton Roads Real Estate Market Review and Forecast has offered much more.

On Thursday, March 12, Old Dominion University's E.V. Williams Center for Real Estate and Economic Development (CREED) will host its 20th annual Market Review, gathering industry experts to offer insight and well-researched reports and forecasts about the residential, industrial, office, multifamily, retail and investment markets.

The event is scheduled for 3 p.m. at ODU's Ted Constant Convocation Center. All CREED members receive a complimentary registration for the event. To register, go HERE.

Every year, the CREED Real Estate Market Review and Forecast has proven popular among industry leaders in the region because it is produced by respected members of the market segments being studied, with the support of Old Dominion University researchers. Master of ceremonies for this year's Market Review and Forecast is Jeff Ainslie, president of sales, operation and finance with the Ainslie Group, Inc. and a former member of the ODU Board of Visitors.

"From its outset, CREED's mission has been to connect the multi-disciplinary analyses, innovative curriculum and research underway at ODU with students, industry and the public sector interested and engaged in the real estate and economic development communities," said John Lombard, CREED executive director and chair of the School of Public Service in ODU's Strome College of Business. "The centerpiece of the work that CREED does to fuse expertise, scholarship and practitioner support is the annual Hampton Roads Real Estate Market Review and Forecast."

This year's 20th annual Market Review includes a panel discussion, on transformative issues affecting the real estate market in Hampton Roads and beyond, featuring influential figures in the local real estate industry.

Moderated by Victor Pickett, senior vice president and regional manager with Grandbridge Real Estate Capital, the panel features Robert M. Stanton, chairman of Stanton Partners, Inc.; Ramon W. Breeden, Jr., president and CEO of The Breeden Company; and Anthony P. Nero, president of Armada Hoffler Properties, Inc.

Individual reports on the residential, industrial, office, multifamily, retail and investment markets will be presented following the panel.

Presenters include Deborah Stearns, senior vice president, brokerage, Jones Lang LaSalle Hampton Roads; J. Scott Adams, CCIM, president, mid-south region, CBRE; William C. Throne, first vice president, industrial, Cushman & Wakefield/THALHIMER; J. Van Rose, president, new homes division, Rose & Womble Realty, Co. LLC; Dwight D. Dunton III, president and CEO, Bonaventure Realty Group, LLC; and Christopher Rouzie, senior vice president, managing broker, Cushman & Wakefield/THALHIMER.

This year's Market Review and Forecast is the first released under the renamed Strome College of Business at Old Dominion University. The business college was renamed in recognition of an $11-million gift by the Strome Family Foundation led by alumnus Mark Strome and his wife Tammy Strome. The gift also helped inspire the creation of the Strome Entrepreneurial Center, a campus-wide hub designed to support entrepreneurs at every stage of the process, creating opportunity for students and growing the economy.

From its beginnings two decades ago, the E.V. Williams Center for Real Estate and Economic Development has reflected the spirit of entrepreneurship that has existed at the University since its earliest days.
