Flutist, Jim Walker to perform in the F. Ludwig Diehn Concert Series

Master of both the classical and jazz flute, Jim Walker will perform Feb. 16 in the Chandler Recital Hall of the F. Ludwig Diehn Center for the Performing Arts at Old Dominion University.
The concert, which is open to the public, begins at 8 p.m.
Walker is a dynamic soloist as well as a legendary orchestral and studio musician, celebrated jazz flutist and an inspiration to countless students worldwide. Many consider him a living legend and a true Renaissance man.
At the ODU performance, Walker will be accompanied by Oksana Lutsyshyn on piano as well as the John Toomey Trio featuring: John Toomey, piano; Jimmy Masters, bass; and Russ Helm, drums. The performance will feature classical and jazz works by Bach, Dutilleux, Hagan, Garson, Walker and many more.
In conjunction with the Norfolk Chamber Consort, the F. Ludwig Diehn Concert Series is supported by a grant from the Diehn Fund of the Hampton Roads Community Foundation.
General tickets for the performance are $15 and student tickets are $10 with a valid ODU ID.
